Mirai (2025) Movie Review: A Visual Spectacle with Mythological Depth

Mirai (2025), directed by Karthik Gattamneni, released on 12 September 2025 and has quickly become one of the most talked-about Telugu films of the year. Starring Teja Sajja as Vedha and Manchu Manoj as the menacing Black Sword, the film blends Indian mythology with superhero-style storytelling.
The visuals are the film’s strongest asset, with stunning VFX, grand action sequences, and rich production design. Teja Sajja delivers a standout performance, portraying the journey of a chosen savior, while Manchu Manoj makes a striking comeback with an intense and layered villain role. The supporting cast—Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram—add further depth.
On the flip side, the pacing dips in the second half, with some comedic detours and side plots dragging the momentum. The climax, while emotionally satisfying, leans on predictability.
Verdict: Despite its flaws, Mirai is a bold and visually rich fantasy adventure that deserves a big-screen experience. It marks an ambitious step forward for Telugu cinema in exploring mythology-driven superhero sagas.
