Mumbai – November 2, 2025 – Tata Motors on Saturday reported monthly wholesales of 61,295 units in October 2025, marking a year-on-year growth of 26.6 % from 48,423 units in October 2024. According to industry sources, domestic wholesale volumes stood at 61,134 units, up around 27 % year-on-year.

The company said SUVs accounted for approximately 77 % of the monthly volume — around 47,000 units — underlining strong demand in that segment. Electric-vehicle (EV) sales also contributed significantly, rising 73.4 % to 9,286 units in October 2025 (versus 5,355 units in October 2024).

In the passenger-vehicle retail market, Tata Motors moved into the No. 2 position in October, selling 74,705 units in the month, ahead of major rivals.

Analysts attribute the strong performance to several factors: the GST rationalisation from late September that improved affordability, heightened festive-season demand (Navratri/Dussehra/Diwali), and the company’s SUV-heavy portfolio which aligns with current customer preference.

However, company watchers caution that while the single-month surge is positive, sustaining momentum will depend on timely product refreshes, supply-chain stability and competitive pressure in the EV space.

For its part, Tata Motors said the October performance “reflects our focus on SUVs, EVs and value-for-customer offerings, and we are well-positioned to ride the recovery in the Indian passenger-vehicle market.”
